Description

How is it printed?

The world's most popular method is offset printing, used for over 80% of all plastic card printing. This delivers high quality and faithful colour accuracy. Almost any design or layout required can be achieved thanks to this high-resolution printing process. Excellent colour quality and a very high gloss can be achieved on plastic ID cards using offset printing ink. The print is rendered in up to 120 spot colours using the euroscale colour space (Y yellow, M magenta, C cyan, K black) or special colours like HKS or Pantone. Thanks to the Euroscale colour space, even difficult photos and drawings can easily be printed onto a plastic card.

If plastic cards such as employee ID cards and entry tickets have to be shown time and again at large events, trade fairs, etc., it is tedious getting them out of pockets or wallets each time. It is much simpler if they are worn around the neck using a lanyard or fastened to the belt or lapels with a clip. Either an additional ID holder or a handy punch card can then be attached to this.

These special cards are punched and pre-perforated. This means you can easily break one plastic card down into three small ones. Ball chain necklaces are ideal for attaching these.

Card punching is particularly recommended if the cards are used only for a short time (at fairs and conferences, for example) and do not necessarily need to be protected with a plastic sleeve. Depending on design, holes are punched either on the long or short side of the plastic card and can take the form of either a round hole (3 mm or 5 mm diameter) or an elongated hole in a standard 3 x 13 mm format. This method of card punching is recommended with crocodile and similar-shaped clips.
