RFID chip cards, also called transponder cards, are laminated plastic cards made of high quality PVC which are equipped with a radio frequency antenna (RFID) inside. In English, the term stands for Radio Frequency Identification.
To read out the data stored on the card, you need, unlike chip and magnetic stripe cards, no direct physical contact with the reader. The readout can take place at a distance of up to 10 cm.
RFID technology is most commonly used in access and entry controls, for example, at trade fairs, concerts, on ski slopes or at airports, and in the form of key and cash cards in hotels, discotheques or leisure resorts. Some places they already find in public transport, as subscription cards or electronic tickets, their use.
PVC cards double-sided, high-gloss colored, have a card thickness of 0.76 mm ( 30 mil ). Their dimensions meet the ( ISO standard ) standard sizes of 86 x 54 mm and thus meet the criterion of CR-80 credit card size.
The plastic cards are made of a high quality laminated polyvinyl chloride and have a high heat resistance. The cards can be printed using dye sublimation or retransfer printing. So you can cost-effectively produce your own personalized membership cards, club cards, access cards and loyalty cards on-site.
